Intercepted

After a rough semester at work, I needed a fun, entertaining, and light read. A little romance, too, doesn’t hurt. Enter Alexa Martin’s debut novel, Intercepted.

The quick rundown: Marlee is the perfect girlfriend to Chris, her NFL boyfriend of 10 years. Yup, 10 years and still no ring. Marlee works hard to keep her position, including ignoring his slip ups with groupies, and having to deal with the bitchy wives of Chris’s teammates. Things take a dive to hell when Marlee comes out of her Chris fog and catches him slipping again. Oh, and the man who put it on her years ago becomes Chris’s teammate. Yeah, drama for days.

I enjoyed this book.  The plot was entertaining. Sex scenes, hot. It did drag a bit near the end, but that didn’t take away from the story. Warning, this book does have hashtags throughout, which might annoy some readers. I didn’t mind it. Again, I wanted to read a book that was fun and light, and this served all that and more. Check it out if you’re looking for the same.
